FILE NO.2

This file contains a zoonotic disease table in an Excel Spreadsheet format that is designed with a word search format. Using the “find” method (see below) assists when searching for specific word. The table provides information for over 300 zoonotic diseases; it is set up to find a disease name and or infectious agent. Scrolling across the screen provides a view of the source animal or hosts, the disease symptoms for both animal and human, methods of transmission and incubation periods.

The disease name or infectious agents have been divided into sections for viral, bacterial, parasitic, fungal Rickettsial and miscellaneous agents. The method of transmission refers to infectious agents such as saliva, oral exposure, faeces, urine, inhalation, and bites. Scratches, ingestion and insect vectors such as mosquitoes, ticks, flies and fleas are included.

File 2 contains an additional spreadsheet table that is designed with a word search format. Using the “find” method assists when searching for specific species. The table presents animal species in the far left column Scrolling across the screen provides a view of viral, bacterial, parasitic, fungal and Rickettsial agents specific to that species or group
